COLO SPRGS, CO (Nov. 23, 2022) – The nomination cycle is now open for the USA Shooting athlete representative for rifle, and shotgun. These discipline representative positions will begin in 2023.
For this upcoming year we will be nominating and ultimately voting on the following positions to be filled:
– 1 Rifle discipline rep & 1 alternate Rifle discipline rep of the opposite sex
– 1 Shotgun discipline rep & 1 alternate Shotgun discipline rep of the opposite sex
NOTE: Paralympic and Pistol Representatives were nominated last round and are not up for elections until 2024 which is why they do not appear as part of this nomination window.

As a reminder, to be eligible an athlete must have competed in either the Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan Am Games, or Operation Gold designated event within the last 10 years in an Olympic event.
The nomination period will run from Nov. 23- Dec.7.
By way of the Discipline Representative procedures found at: https://usausashooting.kinsta.cloud/app/uploads/2022/11/Discipline-AAC-Rep-Election-Procedures-October-2022.pdf , nominations will only be open to athletes on the National and Development Team. These athletes will be receiving a separate email from USA Shooting with the link to nominate.
The full process for this nomination and voting process will be open to eligible athletes only and will be as follows:
The nomination window is now open for responses through December 7, 2022. As soon as this is completed, the three athletes of each gender who received the highest number of nominations will advance to the first voting round.
The first phase of voting will begin directly following this window and will be open for one week. At the conclusion of this the top male and top female will advance to the final voting round.
Final voting will open right after the first phase of voting is closed and will also last for one week. The athlete with the most votes will become the Discipline Representative and the athlete who finishes second will become the alternate.
